Start from what you see

  • The upload was refused immediately

    What it means
The file is not a PDF, is empty, or is larger than the workspace's size cap. The extension does not decide; the actual content is checked.
    What to do
If you have a single image or scan, put it inside a PDF first. For the size cap, talk to your workspace admin.
  • The document is failed and has no text

    What it means
No page was read at all.
    What to do
Hit retry; you do not need to re-upload the file.
  • The document finished but is missing pages

    What it means
Some pages did not read. Their numbers are recorded and shown on the card itself.
    What to do
Hit retry; only those pages run again.
  • Text arrived but it is full of errors

    What it means
Scan quality. Skewed, dim, or stamped-over pages are the hardest cases, and handwriting is not supported at all.
    What to do
Upload a better scan if you have one; otherwise correct the text on the review screen. If you have a sample that consistently reads badly, send it to us.
  • The assistant says there is nothing in the documents

    What it means
The document is not indexed — indexing only happens after a clean run.
    What to do
Recover the missing pages with a retry; indexing follows on its own.
