Review a document page by page
See the extracted text beside the original image, and correct it.
What you see
The review screen opens on the original PDF with the controls floating over it. Arrows or a swipe move you between pages, and you always know which page of how many you are on.
One control switches to the extracted text, where you can also flip between the rendered view and the raw text. For a document with no PDF at all — text that was pasted directly, say — that switch is not shown.
Saving never touches the original
Your correction is written into a validated copy; the raw machine output stays untouched. The reason is that it must always be possible to say what the machine read and what a human changed.
The save button stays disabled until you have actually changed something.
Once review is complete, the validated copy is what download and search use. The original PDF remains available at all times.
If you get a "stale version" message
Every page carries a fingerprint. If somebody else changed that page between the moment you opened it and the moment you saved, your save is refused.
That is deliberate, and it stops you writing over a colleague's work. Reload the page, look at their change, and reapply your correction on top of the fresh version.
Common questions
Who can review a document?
Any active user in the workspace. Review is deliberately not behind a role — the person who understands the document is not necessarily an admin. Can I review a document that is still processing?
No. Until reading finishes there are no pages to review. What happens if I re-run a document after reviewing it?
A re-run demotes the validation state, because the text you approved is no longer the same text.
