When something does not work
A button that should be there is not
Usually role, membership or plan. None of them is a fault.

Why a button disappears at all
The interface asks the server what this user can do to this record and places or omits the button accordingly.
The result is that you never see a button that errors when pressed. The other result is that a missing button is a message rather than a defect.
Four reasons, in order of likelihood
I cannot see catalogue editing or the settings area
- What it means
- These need the workspace admin role and are not shown to a plain member at all — reads included.
- What to do
- Ask the workspace owner to change your role, or to do it for you.
I cannot write on an engagement
- What it means
- Writing to an engagement requires membership of its team. Reading does not.
- What to do
- Ask the engagement lead to add you to the team.
A whole section is missing from the menu
- What it means
- Your plan does not carry that module.
- What to do
- The plans page says which plan each module starts from.
A document has no review or download option
- What it means
- It is still processing. Actions that are impossible at that moment are not shown.
- What to do
- Wait for processing to finish. If pages were lost, you will see a retry option instead.
