Rename the stages for your firm
Put the stages into your own business vocabulary without breaking reporting.
Labels sit on a service or on a line
You can set your own names per service line, and where one service differs, that service's label wins over the line's.
Underneath those names, the same nine canonical stages remain. Pipeline reporting therefore works regardless of your naming, and two lines with entirely different vocabularies are still comparable on one chart.
Your label is not translated
The nine canonical stages are the product's own vocabulary and exist in both languages.
A label you write is the name of your process, and it renders verbatim in every language exactly as you typed it — translating a firm's own process name is not our job.
Who, and when
Editing stage labels is a workspace admin's job, like every other write in the catalogue. Reading them is open to everyone.
The best time is the end of the first week: once a few real engagements exist, you can see which words your team actually uses in meetings.
