Paste text instead of a scan
When you already have the text, nothing needs to be pulled back out of an image.
Two doors into one pool
The upload sheet has two doors: a PDF file, or text. Paste in meeting notes, an email, or text you already have from elsewhere, and it becomes a full document immediately.
That document produces exactly what a reading run produces. It can be reviewed, it appears in search, the assistant answers from it, and it downloads — with no special case anywhere else in the product.
And because nothing has to be read, it is ready at once and costs nothing.
If you want the text to be several pages
You can add page markers and the text is split accordingly. The numbers are taken from the markers rather than from the order — so text starting at page 7 stays page 7.
Empty sections between two markers are not stored. Text made only of markers falls back to a single page.
The limits
Empty text is refused and creates nothing. Text over the size limit is refused too — the same limit that applies to files.
If you give no name, a default one is used; you should not have to invent a title to paste a short note.
