Engagement cards, ordered by which one needs attention now.
What rises
Pulse is not an alert list. A card rises because it carries a signal: nobody has touched it for a while, its stage has stalled, or an indicator has breached on it.
The ordering is deterministic: the same inputs always produce the same order. There is a little variation so you do not see the same three cards forever, but that variation only happens between cards of equal weight — anything genuinely urgent stays on top.
Four things you can do to a card

Your reactions are private
Muting or watching something has no effect on a colleague's Pulse. Everyone has their own ordering.
A reminder also fires exactly once: when it comes due it lifts the card and then clears, so a card snoozed once does not stay pinned near the top forever.
What is written on a card
At the top is the status: the stage and the lead, and the engagement's description sentence if one was written. Tapping that block opens a sheet rather than navigating away — the block itself is the door.
One line arrives as the insight. If a weekly summary has been finalised, that becomes the insight; otherwise it is computed from the data itself and is never blank.
If an indicator has breached, the reason sits on that card — both numbers side by side — with direct links to the indicator and to the task it raised. That card is shown only to the indicator's owner; accountability is not a spectator sport.
