More than one workspace
Switching, the data boundary, and how one sign-in covers all of them.
One account, several memberships
One email address is one account, and that account can be a member of several workspaces. The switcher at the top of the page lists your memberships, plus creating a new workspace and signing out.
The same menu starts with you: it says who you are and opens your personal settings. The workspace settings row, however, is not shown to a plain member at all.
The data boundary is absolute
Nothing from one workspace is visible in another. Two workspaces may hold identically named clients and neither learns of the other.
Open a record belonging to another workspace and the answer is "not found" — not "not allowed", because the second one would give away that the record exists.
If your installation uses subdomains
Some installations give each workspace its own subdomain. There, the address of the page itself decides which workspace you are in and you never have to pick.
One sign-in covers all of them. A subdomain you are not a member of — or one that does not exist — answers "not found" like everything else across that line.
