Voice notes
A minute of talking instead of five of typing — and what happens if transcription fails.
How it works
You record
On any contact's or engagement's feed. Designed for the phone — after the meeting, in the car.
It posts immediately
You never wait. The item lands in the feed marked as processing and you move on to the next thing.
The text arrives by itself
When transcription finishes, that same item updates. You do not need to keep the page open.
If transcription fails, the audio survives
The item is marked as failed but the audio file stays exactly where it was, and it can be retried.
If the service restarts mid-run, half-finished items are marked failed rather than left processing forever.
Two limits worth knowing
A voice note never creates a task by itself. The reason is simple: until the transcript lands, the item has no body a task could be made from.
Deleting a voice item also deletes the audio file. If that note was a contact's only activity, deleting it makes that contact deletable again.
