When a figure goes stale

Change the source and everything built on top of it is flagged.

The dependency chain

A figure comes from a document page, a spread is built from figures, a ratio from the spread, and the FDD bases from the ratios.

If that page is reviewed and corrected, everything downstream is flagged stale — so nobody cites a number whose source moved under it.

The flag erases nothing and re-runs no calculation. It says only that this number no longer agrees with its source.

What to do

Walk the flagged rows once and re-confirm the spread. Correcting one page usually moves only a few rows.

If a workbench base is flagged too, the staleness arrived from that same upstream path rather than from the workbench itself.
